Our Story

The spark for Curly Crest ignited during a personal struggle. As a black woman, I faced numerous challenges with my hair over the years. I struggled with the feeling that my hair was somehow less beautiful or acceptable than other hair types.

But then, one day, I had a realization. I learned that my hair, in all its natural glory, was a symbol of stability and strength. It was a reflection of generations of beauty and heritage. This realization transformed my relationship with my hair. I began to embrace it fully, but I recognized that I wasn’t alone in my journey.

That’s when I decided to create Curly Crest. I wanted to build a space where black women could find practical solutions to their hair concerns and the inspiration to love and appreciate their hair as it is. I wanted to share my transformation and provide a platform for others to do the same.

Thank you for being a part of our journey. Together, we’re redefining beauty standards and embracing the power of our unique hair.
